Special Judge Russell Hall decided the matter Tuesday during Christian Costello’s initial court appearance in the Sunday night killing of his father, Mark Costello, at an Oklahoma City fast-food restaurant.

Christian also told police that the person “always wants to be in charge and know what’s going on” and stopped giving him funds because that person was upset with who he (Christian) was dating.

Cleveland said Costello used his own auto , did not claim expenses and closed the commission’s Tulsa office. “Mark’s death leaves a hole in the heart of our community”.

“Christian, like thousands of Oklahomans, struggles with a mental health disease and like many families we did our best to support him”, they said.

The outpouring of sympathy for Costello’s tragic murder came from all levels of Oklahoma politics. Police have yet to say what may have caused the altercation that led to the attack.

Homicide detectives interviewed at least 17 witnesses, all of whom said they saw Christian Costello stabbing the victim, according to a police affidavit filed late Monday.

He says he thinks Cathy Costello tried to stop her son from attacking her husband.

Last October, the younger Costello was accused of outraging public decency.

“Mark Costello was a tremendous leader, colleague and most importantly friend to all of those at the Oklahoma Department of Labor”, said Jim Marshall, chief of staff at the department. Police say he exposed himself at a Catholic elementary school.
