According to the report, the 24 year old man, Andrew James, from Florida, had an active warrant against him for stealing a GPS when he called the police for help as he was lost on rural roads.
When police caught up with him they detained him on the warrant and also found he had a GPS in his bag. He later admitted it was stolen.
One official from the police department late said “We have had people with warrants call us to turn themselves in before, but it’s unusual for someone with an active warrant, who just burgled a car, to get lost and call us for help”.
