The CW Is Open to Vixen Appearing on Arrow or The Flash

TMS: You touched on this in your previous answer, but would you be interested in playing Vixen in a live-action scenario?

Starting Tuesday the Arrowverse is growing in the form of a new animated series on the CW Seed…

For example, there’s Vixen (alter-ego – Mari Jiwe McCab) – a female super-hero from the fictional African nation of Zambesi, whose superhero powers include using her Tantu Totem to channel the powers of animals in the animal kingdom, so she’s able to mimic the abilities of any animal that has ever lived on Earth. Which, yeah, explains why they went the animated route here.

“I would definitely want to play Vixen, and I hope that does come to fruition”. From there, we pick up with Mari’s life back in Detroit, and they wrap the all-too-brief webisode with a nice cliffhanger. So this is really the discovery of her power in this first section. I think that was kind of the impetus behind hiring me, just to have that option.

I think what’s really cool about her is, to a degree she’s kind of a self-made superhero. As Vixen, she fights valiantly to protect the world from threats like those that claimed her family.

“It was a dream come true”, the 32-year-old actress, who plays the title character, tells ETonline.

“Vixen will resonate with a lot of people”, Echikunwoke foresees. It is set in the same fictional universe as that of Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. With word out that CBS’ Supergirl might also cross over with these shows, and the fact that nobody is quite ready to rule out the upcoming Titans live-action series as part of this world, things are looking more and more expansive in the CW’s world. “You see how a character would actually deal with something like this happening”.

The CW Seed is short format, though. The director and producers of this are very collaborative and they very much wanted me to add whatever I think is good.

More as we hear it.
