Boudreau’s funeral is scheduled for Tuesday in Saco, where she lived. He did not enter a plea and was ordered held without bail.

Reverend Burton Howe, a friend of the family for years, led Tuesday’s service, which began with a slideshow featuring Boudreau with her husband Jeffrey, four children and nine grandchildren.

Members of Boudreau’s family declined to comment on Monday. “I was actually on my way over to Shaw’s when it happened and I changed my mind”.

“It’s bad that a family has to go through this for no reason”, Clark said.

“She was the glue that holds us together”, Jessica Boudreau said.

Valetino wept at the podium when remembering a morning when she and Boudreau watched the sunrise as children. “I’ve never really talked to her”, neighbor Terri Cote said. As a Thornton Academy student, Boudreau was a varsity cheerleader who was always up for adventure. She worked as a nurse’s aide at a Biddeford hospital and office manager for the family contracting business, in addition to working at the school.

Clark, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, says his family is “devastated” and its “heart is first and foremost” with the Boudreau family. He said he grew up very close with MacCalister, whom he described as quiet but fun as a child.

Boudreau’s sister, Patti Parisien, said Tuesday that Wendy loved having a house full of “tons of kids, friends, teammates and enough food to feed them all”.
