The city of Los Angeles will also seek financial restitution for the cost of the police and fire response, said Frank Mateljan, spokesman for the City Attorney’s Office.

Steve-O, real name Stephen Glover, was arrested on August. 9 in Los Angeles after climbing a 100-foot crane over Sunset Boulevard with an inflatable whale in protest of SeaWorld. He might face as much as 4 & a half years of time of time in jail if he is convicted of all charges & be fined as much as $four, 500.

He was charged on Monday, August 24 with creating a false emergency, use of unregistered fireworks, storing fireworks without a permit, possession of fireworks without a permit, and trespassing.

An attorney for Glover could not immediately be reached for comment on Tuesday. City prosecutors will ask for restitution, but an exact amount has yet to be determined. Glover live- streamed the entire stunt online.

Fire crews responded around 8 p.m. that evening to 6094 W. Selma Ave. on a report of a person threatening to jump.

The heavily tattooed Glover has appeared on MTV and in the “Jackass” movie franchise, which depicts him and his co-stars performing risky and odd stunts.

Police are said to have slammed the star for “wasting officers’ and firefighters’ time” but he has failed to apologise for his actions.
