The report added that some cast are returning to the show to reprise their roles such as Laurie Metcalf as Sheldon’s mother and Keith Carradine as Penny’s father. Carradine was last seen (his only episode) in season 4 when he appeared on the episode titled The Boyfriend Complexity.

Furthermore, actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting told ET at the Beverly Hilton’s 60th anniversary bash that the upcoming season is “off to a great start”.

While at the cocktail reception for Emmy nominees, Bialik spoke with Gold Derby to reveal that her co-star Jim Parsons, execs Bill Prady and Eric Kaplan, and her publicist Heather Weiss were the ones who chose her entry.

While fans are being teased about Leonard and Penny’s possible wedding, there is still this undeniable fear that things will turn out negatively between the two, specially since Leonard has confessed to kissing another woman while they were still in a relationship. She is rumored to return to show support for her son, after the heartbreaking moment between Sheldon and Amy.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Mary will be part of the premiere episode of “The Big Bang Theory” entitled, “The Matrimony Momentum”.

The jump up for Parsons – who ranked 9 among TV actors in 2014 – and the rest of the cast is reportedly the result of new contract negotiations which have rocketed the stars’ salaries. Another show which dominated in the male stakes this year is The Modern Family whose four main men all made the cut with their inflated salaries, while Kevin Spacey from House of Cards took up the rear with a measly $9.5million.

Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik who portrays Amy Farrah Fowler shared that she recently received “a lot of negative attention for visiting Israel”. Apparently, an exciting plot awaits Penny. But fans are hoping that they will bridge the gap that the ongoing issues between their kids and their kids’ partners are going to face when “Big Bang Theory” season 9 airs.
