There is no estimated time for reopening the highway, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation web page.

The Colorado State Patrol said the tanker was hauling jet fuel and that the tanker melted in half.

The CSP originally tweeted at 12:27 p.m. that the tanker had rolled over and a fire shut down I-25 southbound between Monument and Larkspur.

All vehicles within a radius of the crash are being cleared off I-25.

Troopers said the driver was able to get out of the tanker unhurt.

A second tanker is being brought in to offload remaining jet fuel. No other vehicles were involved. A fire on scene caused a small smoke plume to be visible from the surrounding area.
