Calvin Harris named highest paid DJ by Forbes for THIRD year running

The Summer hitmaker – who’s dating pop-star Taylor Swift – topped Forbes Magazine’s annual list of highest paid earners, earning the staggering reported $66 million in pre-tax earnings between June 2014-June 2015.

For the last two years the 31-year-old’s earnings have totalled the same amount.

Las Vegas DJ Calvin Harris is on top of the world right now, raking in the most cash out of all the DJs in the world.

According to Forbes’ latest rich list the 31 year old from south west Scotland is worth almost £42 million.

As the Forbes article points out, it’s pretty good for somebody who was stacking shelves in a supermarket in a remote Scottish town just a decade ago. The Scotsman landed his revealing seven-figure endorsement deal with Giorgio Armani and is rare that he writes, produced and performs his own records, usually without help, so there aren’t splits between large teams.

Harris was followed by French DJ David Guetta ($37 million), who plays in Las Vegas and Ibiza and was one of the headliners at this year’s Coachella Festival in southern California.

Harris, who’s going out with Taylor Swift, hit headlines recently after a row on Twitter with former One Direction member, Zayn Malik.

Americans Skrillex and Steve Aoki rounded out the top five, tying with $24m (£15.2m) each.
