Taylor Swift, now on the American leg of her world tour, was joined by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette on-stage Monday night at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Ellen DeGeneres and Natalie Maines were also treated to share the stage with Swift as part of a trend she has decided to focus on throughout her journey to promote her new album.

If there’s an artist who can write a breakup song more vicious and vengeful than Taylor Swift, it’s Alanis Morissette.

And that was when Alanis Morissette made her grand entrance before diving into a stellar performance of her 1995 hit, “You Oughta Know“, to the delight of the crowd!

And it was marvellous…

Taylor Swift concludes her run at the Staples Center tonight (August 26).

“I found out John and Chrissy were coming thirty minutes before I went on and called Chrissy and asked her if John would perform”, Swift said.

Both Swift and St. Vincent, who smiled away throughout the performance, were glowing afterward when they took to Twitter to recount the moment.

Tuesday’s talented trio of singers joins the long list of surprise guests to appear during Swift’s critically acclaimed “1989” tour this summer.

“If not for this woman and her band, I would not have known that you can be quirky and fun and yourself and outspoken and courageous and real”.

This will bring you, as Taylor Swift puts it, all the feels. She stepped out to the song “Style” wearing an outfit that matched Swift’s. Swift may not have invented #SquadGoals, but suffice it to say: She’s perfected that one, as well.

Morissette was actually the third special guest.
