Windows 10 is gaining foreign money amongst users with a majority of them notably liking its star function – digital assistant Cortana – a research stated.

Microsoft is touting how Cortana can set reminders, track flight information, search the web, and manage tasks, all though voice commands.

Because Cortana doesn’t have full access to your Android phone, though, you won’t be able to just say “Hey Cortana (Microsoft’s version of “OK Google”) to start the app for the time being. However, Redmond plans to bring the personal digital voice assistant to other regions for other Android users in the future but no word on when exactly.

The most compelling feature of the app is its Notebook which educates it about its user’s interests, favorite places, and lifestyle thereby making the app a personalized assistant of the user. Cortana is also a key feature of Windows 10 for PC and Microsoft’s attempt at unifying your PC and smartphone experience.

Cortana for Android beta retains all the functionality as seen in Windows Phone and Windows 10. It has released a beta version of Cortana for Android.

However, the Cortana android app has its own limitations.

Since the launch of the closed beta, the company has made several improvements to Cortana for Android, such as the ability to set Cortana to activate by pressing the home button. We’re anticipating the public beta version of the Cortana Android app will be leaked soon so stay tuned for updates. Microsoft had announced that Cortana would be available everywhere, but up until now, we haven’t really had an idea of when that would come to fruition.
