Microsoft is working on two new Surface tablets, report claims
The report does not include any information on the Surface Pro 4 specifications, but only vaguely mentions that it will be featuring advanced hardware.

Surface Pro 3 has a 12-inch screen display with 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution. “The ultra-portability and versatility of 2-in-1 Tablets and premium Slates like Surface Pro 3 and iPad Pro will enable the Tablet to increasingly serve new market segments, such as field work, healthcare, retail point of sale, education, and even desk work”. This doesn’t mean the iPad is selling poorly, Apple still sold 10.9 million units in Q2 of 2015, but it does show that interest in tablets overall has slown down.
According to a fresh report from Taiwan, Microsoft is gearing up to launch not one, but two separate large-screened Surface tablets by the end of the year. However, there has been a lot of buzz about the iPad Pro, and this is what is leading most people to believe that Apple will not refresh its 9-inch lineup this year and will instead launch a 12-inch tablet aimed at the education and business markets.
According to supply chain sources who shared details with Digitimes about Microsoft’s unconfirmed tablet plans, the company is working on two next-gen Surface 2-in-1 devices that will feature 12-inch and 13- to 14-inch displays.
In a previous report, the fourth Surface Pro version is noted to come with better graphics and performance due to the new Intel Skylake processor, as well as an ultra-thin profile to make it handier than ever.
Microsoft’s new tablet is rumored to have an October release date, given that the company will have plenty of time to finalize orders for Samsung 256GB SSD drives and collecting accessories.
On Microsoft’s online store, three variants of the Surface Pro 3 can be purchased with $150 off from the original price.

Microsoft is yet to confirm this info, but there’s no doubt that the Surface Pro 4 is projected to arrive either later this year or in early 2016, especially because the Pro 3 has been on the market for more than 12 months and a hardware refresh is needed. It’s possible that Microsoft is just testing larger screens with no actual intention of launching a bigger Surface.
