Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) continued investment in Drone technology with
Yesterday, Intel made its largest investment in this regard – $60 million – in Yuneec global Co., a Shanghai-based drone and aerospace company.

Yu affirmed that his company’s drones are different from others as they are easy to use having a built-in screen for a controller and even a person who is new to drone driving can fly it easily.
“At Intel we believe in a smart and connected world”.
This is not the first time that the Chipmaker has invested in drones.
Yuneec’s drones find applications in photography and imaging, and its technology also powered manned electric aircraft.
Intel has a road map to “revolutionise” the commercial drone industry after it became the latest multinational to take a measured gamble on a Chinese drone maker this week. This could potentially see Intel’s chipsets make their way into the company’s drones. “And one of the best ways to bring that smart and connected world to everyone and everywhere has been drones”, Intel Chief Executive Officer Brian Krzanich said in a video announcing the investment by Intel Capital. It has been found that Intel and Yuneec are planning to collaborate on projects, but for now details of them are not known.
Both EHANG and Yuneec are up against DJI, yet another Chinese drone startup, which raised million from Accel Partners in May to build a software ecosystem for developers and runs its own fund, called SkyFund, for investments in businesses related to unmanned aerial vehicles.

In November previous year, the company invested $10 million (Series B) in the drone company, PrecisionHawk. The company needed to search for new gadgets for chips usage.
