Arsenal visit Spurs in League Cup
Manchester United’s first opponents in the 2015/16 Capital One Cup will be confirmed when the third-round draw is made tonight (Tuesday). Spurs and Arsenal weren’t scheduled to meet in league play until November, so for those who want to take on our rivals earlier have received their wish.

But despite going on to reach that season’s final, the Gunners were on the end of an upset as Birmingham beat Arsene Wenger’s side 2-1.
Current holders Chelsea travel to League One Walsall while Premier League leaders Manchester City face a tricky away trip to Sunderland. Liverpool will be looking to go one step further than last season when they lost to Chelsea in the semi-finals over two legs, losing 2-1 on aggregate.
Marnick Vermijl’s eighth-minute strike gave Championship side Preston victory over Watford at Deepdale with the defender on-loan from Sheffield Wednesday netting from close range. The West London side are five-time winners of the trophy, winning it three times in the last decade (2005, 2007 and 2015).
Following its dismal start to the Premier League season, Sunderland was grateful for three goals from Jermain Defoe as it ultimately proved too strong for fourth-tier side Exeter City in a nine-goal thriller at the Stadium of Light.
Another tasty fixture to emerge from the draw is the Midlands derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham, which will take place at Villa Park.

They will pit their wits against each other during the week commencing September 21 at White Hart Lane.
