Simon Cowell ‘misses’ Louis Walsh on X Factor

“I do miss him”, said Cowell, “but it was the right thing to do”. Without lovely Louis putting his foot in his mouth, winding everybody up, giving Irish contestants fast passes to the final and giggling away while people deliver their sob stories, what would “The X Factor” even be? “But Nick (Grimshaw) is doing an awesome job”.

As well as the addition of Rita and Nick, Caroline Flack and Olly Murs are back this time round as the X Factor’s new hosts.

X Factor starts this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on ITV.

“She’s so competitive, which doesn’t work with me anymore…”

The X Factor will always be my home, so I have no interest in joining any other show”, she said.

Reveal report that Cheryl has suggested to Simon that instead of each judge having one category – and they have of course traditionally been Girls, Boys, Groups and Overs – this year, each judge should mentor one act from each.

The brunette beauty – who is returning as a judge alongside show boss Simon Cowell and new additions Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora – also confessed she’s anxious her new colleagues won’t be able to handle the pressure.

Let’s be honest, Cheryl’s arrival on the “X Factor” scene in series five really helped catapult the show to iconic status.

Simon said: “I got lazy while on holiday and thought I’d keep it. I’m sure it will come off in about a week”.

When asked if viewers would see a style war between Cheryl and Rita, the I Don’t Care singer replied: “That for me has never been part of the show”.

Cowell also agreed, telling The Daily Star: “It’s true, I naturally consult Cheryl more because she’s been working with me for a long time. I would love to see my mum making a brew in the background, doing the ironing”.
