Apparently “Lynch discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.” And “after gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day”.
If this first look is any indication, the movie is going to be just as awesome as the games. After all, if the Aguilars are related, then that means Fassbender’s assassin is part of a Templar bloodline – if that’s the case, the film could end up exploring something that the games have never touched on before.
Whether the rest of the big screen Assassin’s Creed is more faithful to the game, or a different kind of contest, Fassbender will be seen playing it on December. 21, 2016.
Well it was with great interest and surprise that the reveal of Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Guild costume from yesterday also heralded the implication of something else altogether.
Her face obscured by a ironically graceful veil, Cotillard’s Lady Macbeth is just as power hungry – if not more so – than her significant other, slowly coercing Fassbender’s psyche as he experiences the ultimate fall from grace.
Justin Kurzel, who directed Fassbender in Macbeth, will be at the helm of the film.
He told The Hollywood Reporter at Macbeth’s Cannes premiere, “It’s a really fascinating and interesting project, and we wanted to work together again”.

As for how the trio ended up working on both movies, Kurzel says, “Michael was attached as a producer [on Creed], and he started talking to me about it when we finished Macbeth”.
