After Amazon decided to launch its Prime Now services in Seattle recently, the e-commerce giant enabled its fast-paced delivery services to users, allowing them to shop from home and receive a range of items within one hour.

The new facilities will be handling the delivery service of Prime Now in the area.

Stephanie Landry, director of Amazon’s Prime Now Service, said in the press release that they are “excited to bring Prime Now” to customers in Seattle, Amazon’s hometown, and its surrounding area.

At the moment, Amazon confirms that the trial of the alcohol delivery scheme is going to be a learning experience, as ultimately it needs to work out whether customers have any desire to order this type of product via safe shopping online as part of its two-hour delivery option.

Another such experiment is Amazon’s recent move, also through Prime Now in Seattle, to offer one- and two-hour delivery of beer, wine, and spirits.

With 40 million Prime users paying £79 per year, the company hopes to cut delivery times to around half-an-hour by using drones to deliver parcels to customers.
