The two-year-old was found dead at an address in Mildura on Tuesday, just hours after she was reported missing from the same place.
A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl has been found dead just two hours after being reported missing in regional Victoria.
Speaking in Melbourne after formally identifying his daughter’s body on Friday, Nick Coslovich said he was struggling to come to terms with what had happened.
Fingerprints at the entrance of a manhole leading to the roof of the home where her body was found led investigators to the discovery on Tuesday night, the Herald Sun reported.
As he arrived, news of the arrest offered little comfort.
‘I can’t even process half of what’s coming in at the moment’.
‘I need to have answers so we can arrange a funeral and hold her and say goodbye, ‘ he said.
Mr Coslovich reportedly sent a text message to a local support network worker asking for help to save the toddler, Nikki Francis-Coslovich, and his three other daughters.
The Department of Human Services said it can not comment on whether it is or has been involved with the family.
