Woody Allen has found a replacement for Bruce Willis in his next movie. Word from the production is that Willis will be replaced easily enough and the film will continue on schedule.

Bruce Willis was spotted on set and in costume with Eisenberg, but abruptly left the production this week.
There have been conflicting reports about why Willis dropped out of Allen’s film.

Carrell joins an ensemble cast that includes Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeannie Berlin, Corey Stoll, Ken Stott, Anna Camp, Stephen Kunken, Sari Lennick and Paul Schneider. As with all of Allen’s films, plot details are being kept secret until the premiere, though it appears to be a period piece set some time around 1935. Neither the actor nor the director’s strongest work, admittedly, but Carell has only grown stronger as an actor and Allen’s always remained hit-or-miss, so this shouldn’t be a problem whatsoever. Carell can be seen next in the drama “Freeheld” alongside Julianne Moore, Michael Shannon and Ellen Page, followed by the financial drama “The Big Short”, which also stars Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling. It isn’t known how long the film will be shooting for in L.A. before moving to New York. The untitled movie is produced by Allen’s regular collaborators Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Edward Walson.
