Tiger Woods has a chance to clinch his first tournament win in two years and extend his 2015 season in the final round of the Wyndham Championship.

“Maybe I’m a slow learner”, said Gore, who has known Woods since their days playing junior golf in Southern California.

Tiger Woods spent much of Saturday’s third round of the Wyndham Championship saving par with tough, if not spectacular, shots.

A stiff and sore Woods, the overnight co-leader, arrived at Sedgefield Country Club about three hours before his round to receive treatment on an undisclosed ailment.

Instead of being paired with his long-time buddy Gore, Woods will be in a group in front with Scott Brown.

Blixt climbed 30 spots up the leaderboard with his 62 and reserved a spot with Gore in the final pairing Sunday.

Tied for third place are Chad Campbell and Davis Love III, who shot 65 and 66 respectively, while Brandt Snedeker matched the tournament record with a 61 and, with five other players, sits two strokes behind the leading duo.

Woods is seeking his first victory since the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in August 2013 as he works his way back from back surgery and a swing revamp.

Playing in just his 11th event of the year, Woods likely needs to win to qualify for the first event of the playoffs, next week’s Barclays.

Perhaps the most notable of his 14 pars was on the par-4 10th hole, where he hit this 24-foot putt to save par.

He rolled in a 12-footer for birdie at 16 to move within one shot of the lead, and made another par save with a testing four-foot downhill putt at 17.

The 51-year-old Andrade had eight birdies – three in a row on Nos.

Woods was in second place alone at 14-under when he bogeyed the 18 hole Saturday.

Well, Hoge, an above average-length hitter, is in his fifth year as a pro and played his college golf at TCU.

This is Tiger Woods’ first time playing at the Wyndham and he’s brought quite the crowd.

After going 46 holes without a bogey, the 18-year-old Ko hit her approach on the par-four 18th near the face of the right-side bunker, blasted out to 10 feet and missed the putt. 13-15 – and a bogey to reach 10-under 134 at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.

Bernhard Langer (66) and Jeff Freeman (68) were tied for second. Fred Couples, from Seattle, was tied for fourth at four under after a 71. “It helps to play better and the atmosphere is incredible”. “I think that the start of the year I just didn’t drive it well enough and missed a lot of cuts”.
