Infosys to create 27000 jobs from its new projects
Software giant Infosys Ltd will be setting up three more campuses in Bangalore at an investment of $290 million, which, it says, will generate 27,000 new jobs.

The State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC), chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, cleared five major projects totalling an investment of Rs 22,155 crore, here on Saturday.
One campus shall be in the electronics metropolis and two at Konappana Agrahara in the southern suburbs, the official stated. In 2013-14, the government had cleared 255 projects involving an investment of Rs 42,176 crore.
The company would invest Rs 625 crore on its 10.4 acre campus at Konappana Agrahara-Dodda Tongur area, and promises to create 8,500 jobs, Siddaramaiah said.
IT, Biotech, Science & Technology Minister S.R. Patil, Major Industries Minister R.V. Deshpande, Infrastructure Minister Roshan Baig, Principal Secretary, IT and Biotech, V. Manjula and Karnataka Biotechnology Information Services managing director Tanushree Deb Barma participated in the meeting.
During 2014-15, it approved 108 projects with an investment of Rs 54,433.01 crore, generating employment for 56,101 persons, the statement said.
Another project is at Electronic City, where Infosys will invest Rs 216 crore.

The state government also cleared other projects during the meeting including proposals from Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited and Biosciences Pvt Ltd.
