Scientist are developing a ‘transparent mice’ which according to them will help in creating better treatments for diseases such as cancer and Parkinson’s.

According to the report, the dead mice were all taken and made their skin off before pumping full of chemicals into their body in order to make their body parts transparent.

A researcher, Viviana Gradinaru, from the California Institute of Technology and an author of a paper on the work, said the project would help in battling cancer and other diseases.

She added “Now we are working on mapping the nervous system. For example, there are instances where electrical stimulation is used to help treat Parkinson’s, bladder control or pain and those electrical simulators are applied to nerves throughout the body”.
