Melo, Ljajic, Telles complete Inter Milan moves

Inter Milan have bolstered their new-look midfield by capturing Brazilian veteran Felipe Melo and Bosnian Adem Ljajic from Galatasaray and Roma respectively, the Serie A club announced Monday.

However, this did not deter Slaven Bilic, and the Calciomercato report states that the Hammers made another bid for him over the weekend.

The 32-year-old is joined by Ljajic, who has agreed a season-long loan under manager Roberto Mancini after Roma chose to shed the Serbia global from their wage bill.

Adem #Ljajić è nerazzurro! He is a goalscoring and creative force, and missing out on the 23-year-old deals a big blow to the East London club’s transfer plans. Ljajic arrives on loan with an option to buy, while Melo has been handed a permanent deal with the club.

Do you think Ljajic would have been a good signing for West Ham? “The player is welcomed by the whole club”.

He failed dismally to justify his €25 million transfer fee in Turin, though, and ended up joining Gala in 2013 after two years on loan in Istanbul. He joins Felipe Melo, who Inter also confirmed in the dying minutes of the window.

As well as Melo and Ljajic, Inter have signed French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, Croatian winger Ivan Perisic, defenders Jeison Murillo and Miranda, striker Stevan Jovetic and Martin Montoya.
