The incident allegedly occurred on Monday at the Arby’s located at 11755 Pines Boulevard near the Pembroke Lakes Mall.
Pembroke Pines Police Department Chief Dan Giustino called the incident “unacceptable” and said he would be demanding an apology from Arby’s CEO, Paul Brown.
In an era when anti-cop demonstrations are getting out of hand, the police chief of a Florida city didn’t take it quietly when one of his officers was denied service at an Arby’s restaurant.
The station shared a statement from Arby’s. As soon as the issue was brought to our attention, our CEO spoke with the Police Chief who expressed his gratitude for our quick action and indicates the case is closed.
The incident is considered to be isolated and confined to one individual within the city. “Our department is truly grateful for the support as we continue moving forward in developing positive relationships with all members of our city”. Calls to the Pembroke Pines location were not returned.
The police chief said that ironically, a local mother and her daughter visited police headquarters that same evening and dropped off cookies and a “Thank You” card to show their appreciation.
