Agent Mike McCartney announced on Twitter that his client Zac Dysert has been claimed off waivers by Chicago.

Denver Broncos quarterback Zac Dysert (2) throughout training camp at the Broncos training facility. Dysert was a seventh-round pick by Denver in 2013, which means he spent the first two years of his career in an offense coordinated by Adam Gase on a team coached by John Fox.
Since he knows the Gase system, Dysert is expected to play during the Thursday night preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns. With Bears backup QB Jimmy Clausen out with a concussion, there’s a very good chance the Bears open the season with three QBs.

On Tuesday, the Bears also cut fellow quarterback Shane Carden, an undrafted rookie who hadn’t thrown a pass in the preseason. Dysert was a part of the Broncos’ active roster in 2013 but was on the team’s practice squad for the duration of the 2014 season. Dysert has been with the Broncos the past two seasons and will provide some depth while the Bears are without Clausen.
