The wife of the Washington Redskins’ manager has been forced to publicly apologize to an ESPN reporter after suggesting she performed sex acts in order to get a story. Originally, Washington told Pro Football Talk the account was not Mrs. McCloughan’s, but the organization issued McCloughan’s apology shortly after the denial. But again, who knows.

The tweets, which were taken down when blacksportsonline.com initially posted them, were sent from her private account to Russini. Jessica McCloughan’s most recent tweet to Russini came on August 30. But this isn’t the first time she’s tweeted something negative about Russini.
Redskins General Manager Scot McCloughan found himself – and his wife – at the center of controversy Wednesday. “My comments in no way reflect the opinions or attitudes of the organization and I regret that my behavior has in any way negatively impacted the team and its loyal fan base”.
Scot McCloughan joined the Redskins in January after previously working with the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.
ESPN issued a brief statement, in which the network called Russini, who joined the network this summer, an “excellent reporter who should never have to be subjected to such vulgar comments”. “We are obviously extremely disappointed by today’s developments”, ESPN said.

The Redskins are slated to open their 2015 season September 13 at home against Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins.
