Former Nevada beauty queen busted for drugs
Not so pretty. Katie Rees, the former Miss Nevada USA victor who lost her crown in 2006 following a nude photo scandal, has been busted for drugs again. In Rees’ bag, police found rolling papers, two smoking pipes, and a canister containing marijuana, Xanax, Oxycontin, and a substance that tested positive for meth.

Rees and her boyfriend, Kevin “DJ Kulprit” Sims, were pulled over for a traffic stop in Las Vegas on Tuesday (Sept. 1) and unfortunately for them, a variety of drugs were later found in the vehicle by police.
The 31-year-old former pageant girl was also arrested in July on four felony drug counts for possessing and selling meth.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, police reportedly pulled the couple over for a routine traffic stop at a 7-11 near Las Vegas Boulevard South and East Pebble Road.
Rees admitted she had smoke methamphetamine earlier, the report said.
Rees is being held on $9,000 bail.
Katie Rees, 31, a former victor of Miss Nevada USA (right) was arrested for drug possession after she and her boyfriend were stopped for traffic violations.
Police also searched other bags belonging to Sims and found methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana, the report said.
In 2009, she was questioned at Sydney airport after her luggage showed traces of cocaine and methamphetamine.
In 2012, Rees admitted one count of possession of a drug not for interstate commerce.
The loss was followed by an arrest for five traffic violations and misdemeanor resisting arrest in 2008. “I don’t use anything” and blamed the test results on the fact that she was in Las Vegas. She was ordered to stay out of trouble and undergo drug counseling, which she completed, according to court records.

That last, most serious charge was eventually dropped, sparing her from facing a potential six month jail sentence. According to court papers filed Monday Rees allegedly sold methamphetamine in September of previous year and was found with methamphetamines at a later date.
