Asus Launches Windows 10 PC On A Stick

Over the past year we’ve seen a number of PC-on-a-stick computers, including models from Chinese companies like MeegoPad and Mele and bigger names like Intel and Lenovo. That’s basically what the Asus VivoStick is. It weighs in at 70 grams and measures 138 x 34 x 15mm. Sure, you can hook up a specious external hard drive to one of those USB ports and stream video from Hulu, Netflix, or your own NAS… but a bit more room to install apps and casual games would’ve been nice. A headphone jack is also present, if needed for an audio setup. Besides, there is a microUSB port for powering the HDMI stick. It is still unclear whether HDMI 1.0, 2.0, or both can support the device. It’s quite similar to other sticks we’ve shared with you before, being based on a quad-core Intel Atom processor, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity.

ASUS has placed an MSRP of $129 on the VivoStick, with no word on availability just yet. Rumors say that this will happen this September, during the IFA 2015 exhibition, in Berlin. You will need to have your monitor or TV to which you can attach the VivoStick and of course a keyboard and mouse.
