“All I want is that this tragedy in Syria immediately ends and peace again reigns”.

Abdullah, whose surname is given by Turkish media as Kurdi but sources in Syria say is actually called Shenu, lost his three-year-old son Aylan, four-year-old son Galip and wife Rihana in the tragedy. He said: ‘I’m paying you the double what the rubber boats will pay for.

“When I couldn’t find them in our meeting point in the city (Bodrum) where we normally meet, I went to the hospital and got the bad news”.

Abdullah s family was displaced several times inside Syria and had returned to Kobane in June but IS fighters re-entered the town holding hostages in several buildings in a two-day stand-off that left more than 200 civilians dead.

“My children were the most lovely children in the world”.

European countries, which have turned the Mediterranean, the cradle of the world’s oldest civilizations, into a cemetery for refugees, shares the sin for every refugee who loses their life”, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said, as Reuters reported.

Kurdi’s father has described how his children slipped out of his hands and how he did everything in his power to save them. The image of the lifeless body of Alayn created a strong public indignation even “embarrassing political leaders as far away as Canada, where authorities had rejected an asylum application from the boy’s relatives”, shared by the Guardian. When the boat flipped upside down and the waves keep pushing him down, those two boys, they were in his arms.

Earlier on Thursday, four Syrians, suspected of being involved in human trafficking that resulted in the death of the 12 people, were taken into custody in Turkey’s south-western province of Mugla, security sources said.

“I am meeting with officials to ascertain both the facts of the case of the Kurdi family and to receive an update on the migrant crisis”, Alexander said in a statement.

“I just want to sit next to the grave of my children and my wife and rest”, Abdullah told reporters as his family’s coffins were loaded into a hearse.

“We are the most generous country to refugees in the world”.

It has emerged the family had originally been trying to emigrate to Canada.

The United Nations refugee agency estimates more than 300,000 people have already used risky sea-routes this year to reach Europe this year alone, with around 2,500 losing their lives.
