Freakish stuff with Colin Farrell
Enter Rachel Weisz, who catches rabbits in the woods and walks around with Farrell while he wears tight trousers. And if the first trailer for Lanthimos’ latest film, The Lobster, is anything to go by, then I think audiences are in store for a very unique comedy experience.

“In a dystopian near future, single people, according to the rules of The City, are taken to The Hotel where they are obliged to find a matching mate in forty-five days. “.
And they’re joined by some firm Anglo favorites, including Olivia Colman, Ben Whishaw, Léa Seydoux, Ashley Jensen and John C. Reilly. But outside of The Hotel are The Woods, where we find a band of rebels, known as the Loners, who fight for their independence.
After wowing global audiences with “Dogtooth” and “Alps“, Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos made his English-language debut at Cannes this year with “The Lobster“, and the result was our runaway favorite film of the festival.

“The Lobster” is about to head to TIFF, the NYFF and the LFF before opening in United Kingdom cinemas on October 16th – there’s no firm word on a USA release date yet.
