Six cyclist were taken to hospital after they drank ‘laundry detergent’

Six cyclists were taken to the hospital after falling ill due to the detergent which they were accidentally handed over as energy drink.

The detergent, called Omo, was new product for the Rena, near Oslo, where the cycling event had been organized, so the cyclists thought that this could be energy drink, as it was displayed there.

However, after drinking the detergent, the cyclist were started falling ill and hence they were taken to the nearest hospital.

A spokesman from the event organizing team said sorry to the people and said that the labeling of the bottle clearly explaining what it was but somehow the cyclist thought it as an energy drink.
