Aside from Damon and Cassel, actor Tommy Lee Jones and “Ex Machina” star Alicia Vikander are also reportedly joining the cast, while Julia Stiles has been confirmed to reprise her role as former Central Intelligence Agency agent Nicky Parsons.
Now, if you’re thinking to yourself, “don’t I know him from somewhere?”, well the answer is yes. Greengrass, Damon, Greg Goodman and Ben Smith will also produce the film while Rouse and Henry Morrison will be exec producing. However, Damon recently revealed the story would take Bourne “through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world”, touching on themes like “spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy”.
Jason Bourne has a new nemesis to stab with pencils and swat with rolled-up magazines and desk lamps and whatnot.

He was seen earlier this year in Daniel Espinosa’s Cold War drama Child 44 and the Sundance thriller Partisan (the latter of which gets a limited U.S. release October 2). Cassel’s film credits include ” Production is expected to begin later this summer.
