Mercedes-Benz Unveils The S-Class Cabriolet

As said earlier, the performance of AMG C 63 S is commendable; the vehicle can attain 100 kmph from standstill in mere 4 seconds. Also on show in Frankfurt will be a superlative dream auto from Mercedes-AMG in the guise of the S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet. It is supported by revising aluminium bulkhead behind the rear seats that supports the automatically extending roll bars as well as reinforcement within the floorpan for added rigidity and structural integrity.

Inside is much like the Coupe – no bad thing – but with Mercedes AirCap on the top of the windscreen to reduce turbulence and the option  of Airscarf to warm your neck.

The S-Class cabriolet is scheduled to make its official in-person debut at the 205 Frankfurt Motor Show on September 17.

But some pictures were leaked, and Mercedes-Benz finally released the full specification and pictures of the 2016 S-Class Convertible.

You’ll find all the leading-edge safety features in the Cabriolet that you would in the sedan, including the Collision Prevention Assist Plus system that can autonomously break at speeds of up to 65 miles per hour and completely avoid rear-end collisions at up to 25 miles per hour. “The new S-Class Cabriolet symbolizes our passion for individual and timelessly exclusive mobility, which we share with our customers”. As a result, the convertible weighs roughly the same as the S-Class Coupe. The S 500’s fuel figure is 8.5 l/100km. Performance altogether was enhanced by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed sport transmission, for a sportier and livelier driving experience.

The undisputed highlight of the new line-up is the S63 4Matic Cabriolet.

The vehicle will come with a new 4 liter V8 AMG twin turbo engine. The last AWD S63 coupe we tested to make the sprint to 60 in a mere 3.7 seconds-only a tenth of the 130-horses-burlier and 44-pounds-heavier (but decidedly traction-challenged) Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The 20-inch Brabus Monoblock T alloy wheels have been added, which can be wrapped around in Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama high-performance tires in sizes 255/30 ZR 20 at the front and up to 275/30 ZR 20 on the rear axle.
