Acer launches monster phone and projector designed specially for gamers
To create a brand of powerful hardware, Acer has announced that the Predator line will encompass a powerful desktop PC, a deca-core smartphone, and a gaming dedicated tablet. Either way, it’s clear that the tablet is targeted at one particular type of consumer – the gamer.

Acer has also announced/teased a new gaming phone, the Predator 6. When it comes to gaming sound is also an important factor, and Acer has packed the Predator 8 with tech they call Predator Quadio which powers the four front-facing stereo speakers.
The Predator 6 runs Google’s Android software and will be available early next year, though only in select markets, ST Liew, Acer president of the smart products business group, told CNET after the company’s press conference. Taking the visuals up a notch even further, Predator ColorBlast technology brings high-quality color from professional monitors to the tablet, supporting 100% of the NTSC color gamut.
There’s no word on how much the Predator 6 will cost, when it will be available, or perhaps more importantly, what kind of battery life the smartphone for gamers will get. Just going by aesthetics alone, the two predator machines look like flexing hulks compared to the slevete look on the latest Alienware 13 and Alienware 17 newer 17-inch mobile gaming platform.

In addition to the Jade Primo, Acer today unveiled a bunch of devices aimed specifically at gamers. First, it has a huge 6-inch display. Acer has thrown in what it’s describing as a denser touch matrix, too, for both more accuracy as well as the ability to use anything with a roughly 2mm nib as a stylus. The tablet’s display is full HD thanks to a 1920 x 1200 resolution. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 SoC, paired with 1GB of RAM. To round it off, there is a 21 megapixel camera on the rear.
