According to the report, after getting lots of complain regarding loss of appetite, anxiousness and chronic insomnia, few doctors finally managed to open a clinic to treat those fans who fell ill in this world cup season.
The World Cup Syndrome Clinic, which opened in Chengdu No 3 People’s Hospital in Chengdu city in southwest China, is treating fans for everything from lethargy to paranoia brought on from unhealthy and irregular sleep.
In a talk with one patient, Wang Fu Wong, 35, said “I was gutted when Suarez bit the Italian guy and I just kind of cracked”.
He added “‘I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t concentrate, I felt that my world was falling in”.
