A First Look At The New Bridget Jones Movie, ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’
One new addition we hadn’t banked on was Emma Thompson who, in addition to co-writing the film’s script with David Nicholls and Helen Fielding, is seen playing Bridget’s doctor.

The first look at Bridget Jones’s Baby-the third installment to the Bridget Jones saga-has been unveiled, in the sneak peek above.
It could be her ex Darcy (played once again by the dashing Colin Firth), or else Darcy’s love rival, hot billionaire Jack Qwant (played by the equally easy-on-the-eye Patrick Dempsey).
Although the title hints that we can expect a baby on the way for Bridget (Renee Zellweger) in the third movie, there’s no bump in the teaser.
The final reveal is apparently a big secret – three different endings have been shot, to prevent even the cast of the film from knowing the truth.
At the end of the second film The Edge of Reason, Bridget was seen heading off into the movie sunset with Mark Darcy engaged and happy.
The threequel is set to open nationwide in the US on September 16, 2016.
“None of the cast knows who fathered Bridget’s baby or who she’ll choose as her beau”, Zellweger has said.

Jones is also, it turns out, pregnant – but she’s not sure who’s the father.
