Note, Baldasaro’s comments, which are obviously indefensible, are built entirely around conspiracy theories surrounding Benghazi – all of which congressional Republicans have already debunked.

BuzzFeed reported the comments by New Hampshire state representative Al Baldasaro, a Marine Corps veteran who has spoken at Trump campaign events and introduced the Donald on several occasions.

Mrs Clinton is being probed for using a private e-mail server to handle sensitive government documents while serving as secretary of state, something the Federal Bureau of Investigation said was careless but not criminal.

Trump supporters are frequently seen sporting campaign swag emblazoned with the “Hillary for Prison” slogan. Baldasaro also called Clinton a “disgrace for the lies that she told those mothers” whose children were killed in Benghazi. I believe Hillary Clinton committed treason. “I’ve got nothing to say”.

“This week at the Republican convention, we’ve seen the clearest embodiment yet of this unsafe phenomenon”, Palmieri added.

“His constant escalation of outrageous rhetoric is in danger of mainstreaming the kind of hatred that has always been relegated to the fringes of American politics where it belongs”, the spokeswoman told the Globe.

The U.S. Secret Service, which provides protection to Clinton, is investigating Baldasaro after the remark, according to the Daily Beast.

On Wednesday night, Christie assailed the Hillary Clinton over her domestic and foreign policies, arguing it’s about time she’s judged by “a jury of her peers” – the American electorate.

“We’re exhausted of Sgt. Bergdahl, who’s a traitor, a no-good traitor, who should have been executed”, Trump said to cheers at a rowdy rally inside a packed Las Vegas theater at the casino-hotel Treasure Island.
