A Former Rival Endorses Hillary Clinton

The endorsement comes as a recent poll showed Sanders and Clinton in a dead heat in California, which holds its primary June 7.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been in contact with rival Bernie Sanders in an attempt to unify their party.

The Sanders campaign strategy is to finish the primary season strong and sway some of the super delegates to his side of the ledger.

The survey follows months of complaints leveled at Democratic and Republican party officials by candidates Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders delivers a speech during a campaign rally on the eve of the New York primary, in Long Island, New York, the United States, April 18, 2016. “We will continue to do that”, she said.

Rather, it matters because at this late stage in the Democratic competition the governor has delivered a reasoned and knowing argument for a political figure whom Brown once criticized so aggressively that Bill Clinton told the Californian in 1992, “You’re not worth being on the same platform with my wife”. He spelled out his reasons, including Trumps opposition to global agreements on climate change, but did not urge Democrats to follow his lead. “Yes, we do need a first woman as a president but I do not believe she is ready to be president of the United States to represent us and not just represent herself”, James said.

Sanders’ spirit was captured in a tweet he sent out Monday night after the Gold State Warriors roared back to win the NBA’s Western Conference series. This is no time for Democrats to keep fighting each other.

Running on the slogan “We the People”, Brown railed against the influence of money in Washington and said politicians were “bought and paid for”. Five other states also vote on June 7, including New Jersey, which could also turn the tide for Clinton.

Golden State pollsters found Clinton leading Trump in a general election match-up 45 percent to 33 percent.

But, most importantly, she can defeat Donald, who Brown rightly notes poses an imminent threat to the country, in multiple ways, from his climate change denial to his bigotry to his support for nuclear proliferation.

Brown had previously dodged questions about who he would support in the primary, while saying he planned to used his power as a superdelegate at the national convention to vote for whomever he favored, regardless of the Democratic Partys endorsement. They interrupted a speech by Hillary Clinton with shouts of “let Jerry speak”.
