A glitch is ruining ‘Madden NFL 17’ for some players

One problem I always had with Madden (although I haven’t played it much recently) was the repetitive commentary.

Players have reported the glitch happening in multiple modes across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

One rather amusing glitch in Madden NFL 17 turns missed field goals into touchdowns. Maybe they try to cram too many improvements into the game’s brain, which causes weird things to happen, like players with blocks for heads, or an indestructible Aaron Rodgers. In this case, it’s Madden 17 getting confused about which end zone is which, leading to kickoffs and punts being the easiest touchdowns in the history of the game.

This is a big deal because play-action passing is a huge component of a modern National Football League offense. Sometimes when players choose a pass play, no icons appear above their teammates’ heads, so their only option is to run the ball instead of passing it. Some of the other outrageous Madden gaffes can be found in the videos below.

We said in our Madden NFL 17 review that this year’s entry in the series is the most polished on current-gen consoles to date, and that is true.
