According to the report, the hive was taken thieves between the December 13 and December 22, when the thousands of bees were hibernating for the winter.
Hives are typically home to between 20,000 and 60,000 of the insects, which can live in vast colonies.
The local police are expecting two thieves who had done this burglary, after studying the area of incident.
