Pop star Christina Aguilera’s duet with late singer Whitney Houston’s hologram on the season finale of U.S. talent show “The Voice” has been scrapped. “We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists”.

Whitney Houston’s estate executors are not impressed with the technology of leaked TV spectacle.

Sources said the estate believes the finished product “didn’t look like Whitney” and do not wish to move ahead until it is perfected.

The Dirrty singer sang I’m Every Woman and I Have Nothing with the late singer on the finals of The Voice US.

And while her team weren’t happy with Whitney’s hologram, they did praise Christina’s “absolutely flawless” performance, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a new and improved version at some point in the future. We can not imagine what the reaction to this would have been on social media had it happened.

Christina previously teased the duet, saying earlier this month: ‘I am sworn to secrecy. “I can’t say anything, but I’m very excited about the finale, very exciting things happening”.

Whitney Houston tragically passed away in 2012, at the age of 48.

Christina and Whitney’s duet news comes after Hologram USA, who created the Whitney hologram, announced plans to take Whitney’s virtual likeness on a world tour, as has been rumoured previously.

Rolling Stone reported at the time that ‘the show will be interactive and feature the singer’s greatest hits alongside as-yet-unannounced special guests’.
