A Lambeau leap; Cowboys shred Packers in Green Bay
Eddie Lacy, who has slimmed down more from a year ago, has only 360 yards through five games, and has yet to find the end zone for a rushing touchdown yet.

The results have been spotty this season. If those games were any indication of what this team is capable of, then I think we can all agree that the Cowboys are not only one of the best teams in the entire National Football League, but should be well on their way to making a push for the playoffs.
“I have to admit, Dallas or not Dallas, I think we can all agree the kid’s playing outstanding and I told him that”, Favre said. It’s also 4.7 points below Rodgers’ career average.
Dallas Cowboys’ David Irving celebrates his fumble recovery during the second half of an NFL football game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, in Green Bay, Wis. Dak threw his first interception in the third quarter. Unwinding after the tough game, the quarterback poured himself a scotch and watched the film.
“The scotch was great”, Rodgers said. “All we’ve had with him was last Friday, which was a low-tempo Friday practice with no pads, and this week we’ll be doing very low-tempo in practice, so I don’t know”.
“Anytime you play any good offense, if you can keep the big plays to a minimum that always helps”, Fangio said.
It’s always risky to try and encapsulate a game in one single play, let alone an entire career, but this throw at the end of the first half, which essentially ended the game as a contest, is evidence of just how good Prescott is and how great he could be.
“I don’t use the word “problem” in this conversation”, Jones said. “We made some plays, didn’t make enough, didn’t take care of the ball, and that’s not us”.
But the quick turnaround doesn’t give the Packers (3-2) much time to figure out how to patch up their leaky secondary. They’ve used jumbo packages with offensive lineman Jason Spriggs lined up as an eligible receiver. At least in my lifetime, this as good as the Cowboy have ever been, and for the first time in a long while the Cowboys are actually relevant.
The Packers get no time for rest.
Coach Mike McCarthy has been honed in on details and sticking with a tried-and-true focus. Even more impressive was rookie cornerback Anthony Brown, playing in place of an injured Morris Claiborne, who left the game with a concussion. We came in and just stuck together. Because of that, they needed Rodgers to be the same old Rodgers. Timing may have been off on a couple other throws.
Let me hear what you think in the comment section below. “Just looking at tape, I’m not looking forward to watching it live there in Lambeau”.
Just as alarming was the Packers run defense, which entered the game as the number one rush defense in the NFL. Stephen Jones joined 105.3 The Fan Monday to discuss the win against the Packers, and current issues surrounding the team and here’s what he had to say on the Romo October 30 return date.
Veteran starter Sam Shields hasn’t been on the field since suffering a concussion in the September 11 season opener.
“Well, it’s a work in progress”, Rodgers said. The Cowboys scored two plays later, completing a game-changing, 97-yard scoring drive in 33 seconds.
Chicago’s defense is poor and Green Bay needs to get back on track here with a solid win at home. His resume is thin, and in turn, his starting role on this team should be thin. The Packers went after Brown hard in the game and he came up with 11 total tackles, 10 of them solo, to hold his own against the Packers’ passing offense. On Sunday, he backed that statement up with his great performance.

The Green Bay Packers spent a fair portion of their Week 6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys with wide receivers Ty Montgomery and Randall Cobb taking snaps at running back. “So he’s got to be able to fill in and play just like everybody else”.
