And don’t worry if you can’t make it – a live stream of the concert will be available for all members and non-members on Tidal and HTC’s websites.
More info is still to come… The concert will also include performances from Tidal “rising acts ” Alessia Cara, Bas, Benjamin Booker, Flatbush Zombies and Justine Skye.
Earlier this week, Jay Z tweeted the news of Tidal attracting one million users by writing, “Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists”. Money from ticket sales will be administrated by the New World Foundation on behalf of Tidal. “1,000,000 people and counting”, Hov proudly wrote on Twitter. Granted, Tidal hasn’t been around for long since being under Jay Z’s umbrella, so there’s room to grow and try to catch up to its rivals.
Beyonce and Prince are amongst the star-studded line-up to perform at a Tidal concert in October.
Spotify, the No. 1 music-streaming service, will see its subscriber base jump by 33 percent in the second half of 2015, to 100 million, chief revenue officer Jeff Levick said Wednesday.
