A Nation Engaged: Trump and U.S. Policy In Mexico
Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump is down to seven points in the key battleground Pennsylvania, according to a new Franklin and Marshall College poll released Thursday morning. Trump’s unfavorable rating is at 55%, while Clinton is 54%.

“There hasn’t been an election in modern history where both candidates are this unpopular”, G. Terry Madonna, poll director and political analyst at F&M, told the Scranton Times-Tribune. She said the United States must modernize the military and embrace new tactics, noting that the country should “treat cyberattacks just like any other attacks” and respond through economic, diplomatic and military means. Trump said he will ensure that “our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines have the best equipment, training, and tools in the world – and we will ensure that they have the best medical care in the world”.
“We will stop apologizing for America, and we will start celebrating America.”
“I, on the other hand, want to build a safe zone overseas – and use the money saved to invest in America”, Trump said.
She said America must be a leader in the world, “because when America fails to lead, we leave a vacuum”.
“I would estimate military veterans do not trust Donald Trump with their care, with their charities, or with the nuclear launch codes”, Pillich told WCPO earlier this week.
Kicking off the address in Cincinnati, Ohio, by invoking his campaign slogan, “America First”, Trump tried to settle any doubts about his support for the Armed Forces.
Dozens of Republican foreign policy experts who back a more traditional role for the United States overseas have come out against Trump due to the GOP nominee’s brash foreign policy proposals and incendiary rhetoric, including his softer stance toward Russian Federation.
“Now, I know some of you are Democrats and some of you are Republicans and some of you are Independents”, she said.
Trump promised a “total reform of the Veterans Administration”.
US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s image is at its record low with Americans in her 25-year national public life, according to a new poll.
What did he say about Hillary Clinton?
The nation’s military works in coalitions, Pillich said.

As in past speeches, Clinton also pledged to reduce the national epidemic of suicides, help veterans get civilian jobs, put more resources into post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury treatment, and protect the VA health care system from privatization.
