Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to hit theaters on November 18, 2016.

Warner Bros. might produce the Harry Potter films, but NBCUniversal increasingly is becoming that franchise’s public home, a perception that will become even more pronounced given today’s agreement between the studios. “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, written by Rowling and starring Oscar victor Eddie Redmayne, comes out in November. Comcast’s stock price is up nearly 19 percent this year, and if this investment proves well, expect more magic from the company.

First editions always do well, especially the opener of the series published in 1997 by Bloomsbury.

NBCU confirmed in a media statement that all eight Potter films will become available as of July 1, 2018, airing primarily on USA Network and Syfy.

Included in the deal reportedly worth $250 billion are bonuses such as extended director cut and 3D versions of the films, as well as a 2011 short titled When Harry Left Hogwarts. As a result of this deal the company now has on-air and digital rights across its TV networks until April 2025. In addition, NBCUniversal obtained the rights to use source material from both franchises at its Universal theme parks and at its “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” attraction.
