Earlier today, EA confirmed a new Star Wars Battlefront for release next year.

Naturally, this report has yet to be confirmed by Disney or LucasFilm, and it seems unlikely that, even if this is true, we’ll get any confirmation between now and Star Wars: Episode VIII’s December 15, 2017 release date. Despite Metacritic reporting mixed reviews, the game has shipped over 14 million copies. Another interesting tidbit shared by Jorgensen is the fact that the game will also feature content “from the new movies”. This is what he had to say about the collaboration: “Developing a game within the ever-expanding Star Wars universe opens up so many paths for us to go down, and an unparalleled playground to design within”. Star Wars Battlefront 2 with The Force Awakens (and maybe Rogue One?!) storylines and characters would significantly expand its scope and win back some fans.

The Star Wars internet rumour mill is ALIVE with the sound of whispers about Tom Hardy making an appearance in Episode VIII but is the Mad Max: Fury Road star REALLY going to show up in the upcoming sequel as a stormtrooper?

With the beta for Star Wars Battlefront coming out this Thursday, DICE has chose to reveal four brand new modes that will come with Walker Assault, Drop Zone, Hero Battle, and Squadron mode.

No mention was made, however, of the game just announced from Respawn Entertainment, the developers of Titanfall. The consensus more or less stated that Battlefront is a good Star Wars game, but average multiplayer shooter. The game let you participate in battles in some of the most famous locations as in the Star Wars universe.
