As for why Apple may have made a decision to hold off on releasing the iPad Air 3 this year, the biggest reason may simply because the company is afraid of possible buyer fatigue.
Here’s Apple’s entire tablet lineup for 2015. While clearly more expensive than anything else in Apple’s iPad lineup, the iPad Pro does bring a few unique features to the table. How does these two measure up against each other?
Another potential benefit of releasing the iPad Air 3 in March could come in the form of more eyeballs being directed toward what would be an Apple offering that does not need to share the spotlight with anything else. However, Apple is yet to announce the release dates for the Apple iPad Pro. In terms of sound, the additional speakers give the iPad Pro 2016 an edge over the iPad Air 3 which will most likely follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the iPad Air 2. It also comes with an improved 8-megapixel rear camera. Apple still remains tight lipped on the Apple iPad Pro release dates while it has been vocal about the prices at its event. Apple hopes to provide stiff competition for the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is said to be a “laptop killer” in terms of specs and performance.

The price of iPad Pro will begin at $799 for a 32-gigabyte Wi-Fi model, with 128-gigabyte Wi-Fi and cellular models pegged price of $949 and $1,079, respectively. Both are top of the line, premium tablets and will offer top-tier performance.
