A parrot’s application was accepted by officials to stand in election
A parrot’s application was accepted by the election authority that the bird can stand in Belarus local election.

According to the report, parrot’s owner, Kanstantsin Zhukouski, applied for the election on behalf of his pet, Yasha, and the photoshopped document was accepted by Mazur electoral commission as his pet can stand in election.
The officials also processed an application to set up an associated campaign group for the bird.
Mr. Zhukouski said in a talk that he photoshopped the photo of his bird into a copy of his passport before posting it off.

However, he withdrawn the application of his bird by saying “Yasha pulled out because being a regional councilor isn’t very prestigious”.
