A Resident Evil 2 Remake Pitch Is Already In Capcom’s Hands
The fan-created remake, a re-imagining of Resident Evil 2 being built in unreal Engine 4 called Resident Evil 2: Reborn, includes revamped 3D models, particle effects, fresh lighting, tuned-up gameplay plus new textures and animations.

If we can get a Resident Evil 2 remake, could that mean maybe one day they will realize that Mega Man should still be a thing? It was know as Biohazard 2 in Japan and was also the second installment in the Resident Evil series.
With those games now in the books, Hirabayashi is reportedly eyeing a possible HD remake of “Resident Evil 2″.
According to Gamerant, “Resident Evil” game producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi has decided to pitch in “Resident Evil 2” as the next “RE” title to have a remake treatment due to the incredible response from the gaming fans.
Still, this is a pretty fast, but good development since Capcom opened a mini forum in its official Facebook page in July. “So, I just brushed it up and went to see my boss to present the basic concept of the project already…”
Revisiting Resident Evil 2 would be a more hard proposition.
“With the release of the Ultimate HD version, we have confirmation that while some textures have been upgraded, the majority haven’t”, states the Resident Evil 4 HD Project’s website. The original game was made back when HDTVs were still in their infancy, so it’s understandable that the game’s original textures weren’t built for such high-res pictures. The forum basically showed that Capcom sees the vast interest that fans have in the remake.
The mod’s creators are calling it the “RE4 HD Project”, and so far they have given Capcom’s Gamecube classic quite the makeover.
“Resident Evil” is undoubtedly one of the definitive video games of all time.
