Starting in March, players interested in competing in the inaugural season of the Rocket League Championship Series can register in teams of three for a chance to win the very first Rocket League championship title. Any live broadcasting will remain exclusive to the Twitch platform. I know I’m not unless people want to watch a vehicle flail about while boosting all over the place.
When Rocket League first launched, esports fans were pretty enthusiastic, with some calling it the next big thing.
“We continue to see viewership growth around “Rocket League” on Twitch, as streamers from all different gaming backgrounds continue to go back to playing it because of its fun and easy to learn gameplay”, Allen said.
For more information, visit the official Rocket League Championship Series site at www.RocketLeagueEsports.com. Twitch’s video platform is the backbone of both live and on-demand distribution for the entire video game ecosystem. Twitch also features Twitch Creative, a category devoted to artists and the creative process.
The combination of football and race cars managed to impress gamers and critics alike with the combination of solid mechanics and impressively acrobatic matches and is at the moment offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
Just to summarize, Rocket League is just about what you’ll probably imagine when you hear the words “car soccer”.
