Not ideal field conditions, but the Cowboys did a good job of letting Romo get his feet wet and of going back to the running game in the second half. The special teams have been slowed by penalties and poor decisions. Romo and Bryant connected on a TD pass for the 50th time, breaking the team record of 49 set by Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin….
An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for dancing and the ensuing short kick proved costly for the Dallas Cowboys in the final moments of the first half at Miami. They built a formidable defense that features Ndamukong Suh leading the defensive line that was supposed to dominate the line of scrimmage. They won’t win the AFC South, but they can work their way into a wild card spot by winning the majority of their remaining games. Jarvis Landry became real confused by this and forgot what he was supposed to do. There seems to be potential, but nothing really comes from their offense.
Carolina is 10-0, and New England should get there.
My prediction for the game is Cowboys by 10. Darren McFadden has distanced himself as the feature back since the release of Joseph Randle though.
The Dolphins did blitz, and the Cowboys couldn’t pick it up. Two plays later Kenny Stills got behind Byron Jones and Tannehill hit him in stride for a touchdown which tied the game. Miami’s offensive weapons have the potential the give the Cowboys defense nightmares. It was a culmination of everything a quarterback – and leader - of Romo’s standing brings to the table. They have also had to establish a new identity in their running game since the departure of DeMarco Murray.
Tony Romo fractured his collarbone in the second game of the season for the Dallas Cowboys and it’s been a rough seven games since for Dallas with all of them resulting in losses. They are playing a team who has their superman back, Tony Romo.
DEZ DANCE: Dallas receivers Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for doing the dab, a dance becoming trendy in the NFL. Dallas linebackers picked off nine passes last season. No room equals no wins. “He’s a competitor. Makes a lot of plays for us”.
No matter how good either of those players could perform on a given day, neither is as smart as Romo. The Dolphins looked to mask their play call again by threatening to blitz both A-gaps before dropping one linebacker. With Miami scoring two touchdowns on three drives that spanned from late in the second quarter to early in the third, it was starting to look like the momentum was swinging their way.
Otherwise, all the offensive dysfunction that plagued the disastrous Brandon Weeden-Matt Cassel winless stretch magically went away.

In other games, Detroit beat Oakland 18-13, Dallas beat Miami 24-14 and Baltimore edged St. Louis 16-13 but lost stars Joe Flacco (knee) and Justin Forsett (arm) to season-ending injuries. I think he just made all of us play a little bit different and be more focused with everything because he was basically telling us, you know, he needs us and we have to be there for him.
